Passing of note: With heavy hearts we announce the passing of long-time parishioner Robert O’Keefe, on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Please pray for the repose of his soul and keep his family in your prayers. His funeral plans are not known at this time.
Sanctify
· This weekend, we welcome Fr. Brian Capuano to our parishes. He will be sharing his insight on vocations.
· Next Sunday, August 29th, Father will celebrate a one-time Mass at 5:00p, focusing on the youth and their parents of both Sts. Peter and Paul and St. Joseph’s parishes. (p. 7)
Evangelize
· CCD registration continues this weekend after both Masses. Please be sure to bring each child’s baptismal certificate as well as payment along with your registration. Classes resume on Sunday, September 12th at 9:45a (p. 4)
· RCIA resumes on Sunday, September 12th at 9:45a in the Lounge.
· If you are looking forward to your youth joining the Youth Group this year, please see the link towards the bottom of p. 4 to let us know when is the best time for you to meet. We will tally up the results and let you know the most common meeting day/time.
· Our 2 bible study classes return on Monday, September 13th; Rejoice! at 1:00p and Saved By the Book at 7:00p in the Parish Hall. (p. 7)
· Want to spend some quality time with Jesus? The chapel is open M – Th, 6am – 8 pm (except during Th Mass in the chapel). Appointment times are available. If you can’t commit to a full hour or a regular day, stop by when you can. Jesus is happy to see you. (p. 5)
· Learn more about St. Joseph by attending the next “Reflections on St. Joseph” at St. Joseph’s on Thursday, August 26, after the 5:00pm Mass, in the parish hall. (p. 10)
Serve
· Congratulations to Doug Mullinex, who is our new Parish Council Chair.
· Our next bake sale occurs on Labor Day weekend. If you like to bake, we happily accept donations of tasty treats dropped off preceding Mass.

· Grief Share returns for a 13 week program on Wed., September 15th at 7:00p in the Parish Library (rm. 122) (p. 8)

Other
· Please share your memories with us of when you first joined Sts. Peter and Paul. As we prepare for our 40th anniversary, we’d like to compile an album of these memories to share with future generations. (p. 8)
· T-shirts from the ministry fair are available in sizes XL – 4XL in the office. (p. 9)

Today at Sts. Peter and Paul, we were informed of a positive case of COVID-19 from a parishioner who went to Mass on Sunday, August 15th. Please take precautions to protect yourself and others.
