Here are the highlights:

  • Congratulations to our First Communicants who are receiving tomorrow at noon. Remember to be at rehearsal by 11:30am.

  • The First Saturday Mass for May has been moved to Monday, May 13th at noon when we will honor Our Lady of Fatima.
  • The Knights of Columbus in conjunction with the parishioners of Sts. Peter and Paul, have arranged a baby drive for the month of May, to support Lifespring Pregnancy Centers. There is a bassinet set up at the front entrance of the church to place baby clothing, diapers and other baby supplies. No need to wrap. Checks, made out to Lifespring Pregnancy Centers are also being accepted. Contact Larry Boice with any questions.
  • May 19th is our next Children’s Mass and the last CCD class for the summer.
  • The Chapel remains closed as we wait for repair estimates from 2 companies. You are welcome to adore in the church, where the Blessed Sacrament is present.
  • The next Youth Group meetings are on May 10th (for K – 5 at 6pm) and May 11th (for MS/HS at 3:30).
  • Parish Mission: save the dates: May 16 – 18, 2024. Fr. Jay Biber is our guest speaker.
  • There will be a Spaghetti Dinner (inside the hall) and Rosary by the fire pit on Saturday, May 18th, after the 5pm Mass. This will be the culmination of our parish mission, sponsored by Parish Council and the Knights of Columbus. Please join in the fellowship!
  • Our Yard Sale is just around the corner and planning has begun. Helpers are needed every day from June 2nd through June 8th for many tasks; moving tables, setting up tents, sorting donated items, selling goods, etc. Please let Cynthia (434.996.6065) know that you are able to help.
  • CHIU Golf Tournament at Spring Creek information can be found on page 9.
  • Save the Date: for our Parish Trip to France to kick off our yearlong celebration of our 40th anniversary
    • April 24 till May 4, 2025
    • Additional details can be found on the Parish Council board in the Commons
  • Sts. Peter and Paul Religious Store is open before/after Mass on Saturdays and after Mass on Sundays. There are great gifts for the upcoming 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion and Mother’s Day. During May, Rosaries are 20% off! You can contact the store via email at [email protected].
  • If you have misplaced any items in the church, come see Karen in the office; it’s where lost things go.
  • If you have recently changed your email address or phone number, please send a note to the office so we can update the system and make sure you don’t miss out on any information we have to share with you.

St. Joseph’s News:

  • First Communion is on Sunday, May 12th at 9a at SJ.
