· Rosemary Granville’s funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, August 17th at 11am. Jeff Henrietta’s funeral Mass is tomorrow, August 14th.

· The Diocese has updated guidance for masks (eff. Aug. 11th)
o The CDC and VDH have revised the guidance involving the wearing of masks in certain “public indoor settings” – this includes Mass.
§ The new guidance states: Vaccinated individuals should wear a mask in areas of substantial and high transmission.
§ You can determine the status of your city or county by clicking on the following link in areas of substantial and high transmission. Currently, most areas of the diocese are in substantial or high transmission.

· CCD Registration is going on this weekend and the next 2 weekends, after Masses. Please stop by the table in the Commons to sign up. Please bring your child(ren)’s baptismal certificate(s) and payment with you to register. Youth Group is still looking feedback on who is interested and what day and time is preferred. · The Bake Sale raised $547 to benefit Justice & Peace. Thanks to all who contributed their time and talent and those who purchased goodies. It all looked delicious. next month’s bake sale is the weekend of September 4th and 5th. It’s never too early to start for the next one. (p. 6)

· Special one-time Mass for the youth and their families on Sunday, August 29th at 5pm. (p. 7)

· Grief Share is returning for a 13-week session beginning Wednesday, September 15 from 7 – 9pm in Rm. 122. (p. 8)

· Fridays after 5 and the Knights need volunteers to help at the gates. Contact Doug Mullinex. (p. 8)

· Virginia March for Life is Friday, September 17th. Reservations to ride on the 23-passenger bus can be made through David Cauffield. (p. 8)

· The Golf Tournament is just one week away. It’s not too late to join in the fun. Contact Jim or Maggie Cullinan. (p. 9)

· 40-year t-shirts are available at the office in sizes XL – 4XL. (p. 9)

· Reflections on St. Joseph continue this month on Thursday, August 26th at St. Joseph’s after the 5pm Mass. (p. 10)

· There is a Bake Sale at St. Joseph’s after Mass this weekend. Donations are welcome. (p. 10)

· There is a meeting for CCD teachers or anyone interested in teaching CCD after Mass this weekend. Classes start on September 12th. (p. 11)
