Greetings!

Your bulletin: https://saintspeterpaulpalmyra.org/january-15th-2023/

Here are the highlights:

  • Come one, come all to the Spaghetti dinner and Pie Contest at St. Joseph’s this Saturday, January 14th at 6:30! This is a fundraiser to benefit our youth (from Sts. Peter and Paul and St. Joseph) who are going to Portugal for World Youth Day this summer. Bake a pie and enter the contest. You just might be the winner of $25 and bragging rights!
  • The office is CLOSED this Monday, January 16th in observance of MLK day.
  • “We are the Eucharistic Church Serving the Family of Christ”
    • January’s theme: LIFE
    • Please take a moment to view the slideshow before or after Mass during the month of January
  • Calling all parishioners! The Welcoming Ministry needs you! Be a welcoming greeter at the front door before Mass on Saturday or Sunday. You can choose to do it one time or a few times a year. You CHOOSE the Date! We would especially like to see couples and families, men and women. Be the smile that welcomes your fellow Catholics to Mass. Call Rose Meyer at 434.589.5018 or 434.989.9761.
  • Mark your calendars for Feb. 8-10, for a series of daily talks that will be offered at Sts. Peter & Paul in the Commons at 1:00pm. We will have various speakers providing beneficial information on issues of “Sickness & Health”. There will be time for Q & A.
  • TABELLA is a free Catholic app that we will use to keep you up-to-date on events at both churches. Please pick up the flyer in the Commons that will walk you through loading the app to your Smartphone and making SPP or SJ your preferred parish.
  • In an ongoing effort, sneakers are being collected to benefit CHIU (Catholic Health Initiatives for Uganda). It doesn’t matter the condition. (p. 5)

  • The next fundraiser for the World Youth Day program is a SPAGHETTI DINNER/PIE CONTEST at St. Joseph’s this Saturday, January 14th at 6:30pm.
  • St. Joseph is gearing up to celebrate 140 years beginning March 3rd. If you have memories to share, please contact any of the team members listed in the bulletin on page 11.
  • While Father David is away there will NOT be Thursday evening Mass. They will resume on February 9th.

-Peace-
