News Blast & Bulletin 01/01/2023

Greetings!

Your bulletin: https://saintspeterpaulpalmyra.org/january-1st-2023/

Here are the highlights:

  • The office is CLOSED Monday, January 2nd in observance of the New Year holiday.
  • “We are the Eucharistic Church Serving the Family of Christ”
    • January’s theme: LIFE
    • If you have pictures of animals, children, seniors, scenery, flowers or any other living things send them to the office to be put in a slide show before and after Masses during January, starting next weekend, or contact Deacon Bob.
  • A parishioner has family members in need of housing as their current living arrangement will end in January. If you or someone you know can accommodate a young, quiet family of 3 in a rental or basement flat, please contact the office. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
  • The next fundraiser to benefit our World Youth Day attendees is Saturday, January 14th at St. Joseph’s. A spaghetti dinner and pie contest will begin at 6:30pm. (p. 4 & 11)
  • Tabella is a free Catholic app that we will use to keep you up-to-date on events at both churches. Please pick up the flyer in the Commons that will walk you through loading the app to your Smartphone and making SPP or SJ your preferred parish.
  • New USHERS are needed at both Masses. This is an excellent way to serve. Contact Frank Pilk if you are interested (571.239.3373).
  • In an ongoing effort, sneakers are being collected to benefit CHIU (Catholic Health Initiatives for Uganda). It doesn’t matter the condition. (p. 5)

  • The next fundraiser for the World Youth Day program is a SPAGHETTI DINNER/PIE CONTEST at St. Joseph’s on Saturday, January 14th at 6:30pm. (p. 11)
  • While Father David is away there will NOT be Thursday Mass. They will resume on February 9th.

-Peace-
