Mass will be different and it will be a learning experience for all. Please bring your patience and cooperation. Consider the following: are you ill, anxious, immunocompromised, or in a vulnerable category. Bishop Knestout has extended the Sunday dispensation.
Church Guidelines:
- The front door will be the only entrance before Mass and the only exit after Mass.
- Everyone 3 years old and up must wear a face covering while in church (consuming Communion is the only time to lower your covering). The church is unable to provide masks.
- Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of Mass. Space is limited factoring in ‘social distancing’ and practicing. There has been clarification on social distancing while at Mass and this opens up a few more seats.
- You will no longer need to provide contact information when you attend Mass. Ushers will no longer ask you the 3 screening questions as you enter the church building. They are posted at the front entrance for you to review. If you enter the building, then you are consenting that you are able to answer “no” to all questions. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions, do NOT enter the building.
- Offertory baskets will not be passed due to the new guidelines. Instead, there will be a basket identified where you can place your donations as you enter.
- Maintain 6 feet of social distance from others who are not from the same household at all time while in the church or on church property.
- Refrain from physical contact, such as holding hands during the Our Father, and shaking hands during the Sign of Peace.
- Bring a personal supply of hand sanitizer to use before receiving Communion, if possible. Due to the high demand, the church has not been able to secure hand sanitizer.
- Consider receiving Holy Communion in the hand.
- Ushers will direct you to your seats, at Communion, and at the End of Mass.
- Please remember while we have a cantor to provide the vocals during Mass, the congregation is asked to refrain from singing, as announced in the guidelines from the Diocese.
