2nd Sunday of Advent

Here are the highlights:

  • Thank you to those who helped switch out the hymnals last Saturday. We know your time is precious and we appreciate you giving us your time!
  • Sts. Peter and Paul is seeking a part-time Director of Music. See page 8 of today’s bulletin to find out more.
  • A limited number of 2024 church calendars are available on the table in the Commons. We respectfully ask that you take only one per household.
  • If you haven’t already turned in your Angel Tree gift or Girl Child Mission items, THIS WEEKEND is the deadline! Thank you so very much for your participation in this project!
  • Sts. Peter and Paul Religious Store has opened and can be found in the former LOUNGE. Stop by before or after Mass on the weekends. You can contact the store via email at [email protected].

Lessons & Carols
December 17th, 2023
2:00PM, Parish Hall
  • If you would like to “loan” your nativity for the Nativity Exhibit during Lessons and Carols, please contact the office at 434.589.5201. So far, we’ll have about 5-6 on display, but would like to have more.
  • The next Kid’s Night Out event is TONIGHT, Friday, *December 8th, from 6-8pm, for kids in grades K-5, in the Youth Group room in the Hall. Bring a non-perishable food item to donate and watch the movie “The Star”, in preparation for Christmas. A meal will be provided.
  • Christmas Masses at SPP are as follows:
Christmas Eve – Sunday, Dec. 246:00 pm
Christmas Day – Monday, Dec. 257:00 am
11:00 am
  • Sts. Peter and Paul will have Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day at 1:00pm, for those who would otherwise be alone. Donations are being collected (in the black box in the Commons) to help fund this feast. We also ask that if you are plan to attend, to please bring a side dish or dessert to share. There is a sign-up sheet on the kitchen door in the Commons.
  • There are a limited number of “100 Club” memberships available. See page 9 in today’s bulletin for more information about how it works.
  • If you have recently changed your email address or phone number, please send a note to the office so we can update the system and make sure you don’t miss out on any information we have to share with you.
  • Due to low viewership and equipment issues we will no longer be live-streaming the Mass.

St. Joseph’s News:

  • Join us after Mass on Sunday, December 17th for Potluck Christmas Brunch. Please sign up on the sheet located in the Parish Hall.
  • Christmas Day Mass is Monday, Dec. 25 at 9:00am.
