Here are the highlights:

  • Our Family Prayer Night with the Rosary and Bonfire returns on this Saturday, October 28th after Mass. Food will be provided. You will need to bring your rosary, a chair, a blanket (last year was a little chilly), and maybe some gloves. The weather should be very cooperative!
  • Thank you! to those who came to Parish Clean-up day and helped weed and mulch 3 large garden areas closest to the entrance. I hope everyone is enjoying the fruits of your labor.

  • Sts. Peter and Paul is seeking a part-time Director of Music as Sid gets ready to retire. See page 8 of today’s bulletin to find out more.
  • Our Parish Mission will be Thursday, November 16th – Saturday, November 18th. There will be Mass and multiple talks each day and brunch on Saturday. Hope you can participate!
  • Happy Face will be collecting new toys for kids ages 1-12 through the month of November. Please place donations in the box in the entrance to the church.
  • 40 Days for Life Fall campaign continues. If you would like to gather from 10-11am in peaceful protest in front of Planned Parenthood with other parishioners, they meet at Jefferson Pharmacy at 9am on Wednesdays through November 1st to carpool. If you like to drive yourself, there is ample parking nearby.
  • CHIU is in need of someone who can craft a shipping crate in order to send their medical supplies to Uganda ahead of their mission in January. Please contact Bob Maher at 434.589.1170 for details on size and when it needs to be completed.
  • The Craft Fair is coming, Saturday, November 11 from 8a-2p. The Crafters are selling raffle tickets this weekend. Come see the dollhouse and other baskets they are raffling off.
    • Help is needed (moving tables) to set up (11/5) and take down (11/11) the craft fair. Please contact Cynthia (her number is inside the cover of the bulletin) if you are able to help.
    • Help is needed with baked goods for the bake sale within the Craft Fair. Please deliver goodies to the hall towards the end of the week (closer to the 11th so they are fresh).
  • A Catholic Store is coming to Sts. Peter and Paul. There will be a soft opening on November 2nd after the Noon Mass.
  • If you have recently changed your email address or phone number, please send a note to the office so we can update the system and make sure you don’t miss out on any information we have to share with you.

  • 140th Anniversary continues: Join us next Sunday, November 5th after Mass for a walk to Camp Wakeham. There we will pray the Rosary for the souls buried there, as part of the Octave of All Saints.
  • Lynch Roofing is starting repairs to the roof and bringing in heavy equipment to aide in the process. The repairs are expected to take about 3 weeks. While the equipment is on the premises, please be diligent about your safety and stay clear of the equipment. Thank you in advance.
