30th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Greetings:

Your bulletin: https://saintspeterpaulpalmyra.org/october-24th-2021/

  • Today is World Mission Sunday. (p. 3)
  • EXCITING news for the youth of both parishes: the Youth Group will kick off their year by gathering at AMO Gelato Café this Wednesday, October 27th from 7 – 8pm. Students in grades 5 -12 are invited to attend.
  • Catholic students in grades 8 – 12 are invited to submit an essay describing everyday obstacles to living a life of authentic faith and how you overcome them. (p. 4)
  • This Tuesday is the last of the vigils for 40 Days for Life. (p. 8)
  • Next weekend you will see Happy Face return. There will be a box in the entryway to collect toys for the less privileged and the POOR BOX will convert to donations for Happy Face all through November.
  • Life Line Screening returns to Sts. Peter and Paul on Wednesday, November 17th. Make your appointment now and receive a $10 discount. (p. 9)
  • Our Bake Sale is back in just 2 weeks. (p. 9)
  • The CRAFT FAIR comes on Saturday, November 14th from 8a -2p. (p. 9 & 11)
  • The next ‘Reflections’ is this Thursday, October 28th at 5:30p at St. Joseph. (p. 10)
  • There is a funeral Mass scheduled Tuesday, October 26th at 10am for a St. Thomas Aquinas parishioner, followed by their interment at Sts. P & P cemetery.
  • It’s true, it’s true . . . Deacon Peter and Billie Coleman are moving away. We hate to say good-bye but we wish them well. Both churches will send them off with our love: St. Joseph, Nov. 21st and Sts. P & P, Dec. 5th. Let’s join together after Mass on these days to celebrate their journey.
  • The doors to the buildings do not close securely on their own. PLEASE, whenever you leave either of the buildings at Sts. Peter and Paul after hours, turn around and yank on the door handle to make sure the door is closed securely. This morning when I went to open the church, the choir door was not closed; I only had to pull on the door to get in, no key required.

Thank you and God bless.
