Here are the highlights:

  • There will be a funeral Mass celebrated on Thursday, September 7th at 10am for Gerry Burke. No 9am Mass that day. Please pray for the repose of his soul.
  • If you know of anyone who has knowledge on how to repair asphalt or can advise on the best and economical way to repair the front entrance to the church parking lot, please refer them to Charlie Nicholson @ 434.365.9712.
  • Our Cleaning Angels are seeking new members to help clean the Church before weekend Masses. A team of 3-4 volunteers rotate on a weekly basis, to prepare the Church. If you have some time to donate, please contact Lorna Jervis at 434.207.4410.
  • The Crafters have returned! They meet every Thursday from 9:30 – 2:30 leading up to our annual Craft Fair in November. All are welcome to join. Bring a lunch, ideas, skills, and even supplies!
  • CCD and Adult Formation (with RCIA) begin next Sunday, September 10th at 9:30am in the Hall. If you haven’t registered, please stop by the office M – F, 9 – 3.
  • Rejoice! Bible Study returns next Monday, September 11th at 1:00pm for a new year of bible adventure.
  • Silent Auction for CHIU is live on-line beginning at 6:00am on September 16th – 30th at 2:00pm. Visit: yourcharityauction.com/CHIU.
  • Coming to St. Francis Hall: The MIKADO, an operetta by Gilbert & Sullivan; Friday, October 6 at 6:30pm. Save the date!
  • Men’s Cursillo weekend – Thursday, October 26 (7:00pm) through Sunday, October 29 (5:00pm) at Camp Overlook near Harrisonburg. See page 3 for details.
  • BAKE SALE WEEKEND is here again. Thanks so much to those who work it, those who donate goods to it, and those who purchase from it to help those in need.
  • The office is CLOSED this Monday in observance of Labor Day. May your holiday be safe and happy!

St. Joseph’s News:

  • CCD registration continues this Sunday. See Celeste after Mass. Classes start next Sunday, September 10th, after Mass.
  • St. Joseph’s will have a picnic day at the Neumann’s on September 16th with many activities for all.
