12th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Greetings!

Your bulletin: https://saintspeterpaulpalmyra.org/june-25th-2023/

Here are the highlights:

  • Parish Day and Picnic is this Sunday, June 25th after the 11:00am Mass! This will be a celebration of our patron saints, Peter and Paul, with food, games, fellowship, and more! Burgers and dogs will be provided; please bring a side dish to share and a chair. We have 6 brand new picnic tables (many thanks to Hunter McDonnell and his fellow scouts and parents). If you can’t stay for the entire event, come to at least say “Hello”. This is a rain or shine event.
  • Please see Fr. David’s message on page 3 of this week’s bulletin.
  • A second “Senior Health Coffee Social” is scheduled for Wednesday, June 28th at 10am. Contact Catherine Heffley at [email protected] with questions.
  • A reminder that Joan Hansen’s funeral Mass is this Thursday, June 29th, at 11am, with visitation at 10am; there will NOT be a 9am daily Mass.
  • Our monthly bake sale returns next weekend. Food donations can be dropped off before Masses. Thank you for your support.
  • The next Youth Group meeting is on Friday, July 14th, from 5 – 7pm in room 119 in the Parish Hall.
  • Join us at our first annual Celebration Dinner at GIA’s on July 16th at 1pm honoring select volunteers from our parish. Tickets are $35 each and are available now!
  • CCD registration begins August 1st; classes resume September 10th. The fee is $45 for the first child, $25 for each additional child.
  • The Knights of Columbus is teaming up with CHIU to put on a Talent Show and Dinner and your talent is needed! Saturday, August 19, 2023 is the date to reserve. If you are interested in sharing your talent alongside fellow parishioners, please contact Bob Maher at 434.589.1170 or [email protected]. The funds raised from this effort will help buy drugs and medications for the next medical mission to Uganda and pay for the doctors and nurses that will be helping during the mission at St. Anthony’s in Mitala Maria this January.

  • Correction to pg. 10 of the bulletin: Thanks to Jennifer Dennis (not Davis) for your contribution to the Corpus Christie procession celebration. We apologize for this error.
  • Join us for a Parish Homecoming on Sunday, July 9th after Mass. This includes food, friends, pictures and more!

Peace and blessings for a wonderful weekend!
