11th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Greetings!

Your bulletin: https://saintspeterpaulpalmyra.org/june-18th-2023/

Here are the highlights:

  • Vacation Bible School for preK4-5th grade starts this Monday, from June 19th – 22nd from 6-8PM in the hall. There is still time to register. There is a link on our website to register on-line. There is no cost involved.
  • Parish Day and Picnic is coming on June 25th after the 11:00am Mass. Mark your calendars and keep your eyes open for more details to come. This will be a celebration of our patron saints, Peter and Paul, with food, games, fellowship, and more! Burgers and dogs will be provided; please bring a side dish to share and a chair. We have 6 brand new picnic tables (many thanks to Hunter McDonnell and his fellow scouts and parents). If you’d like to volunteer to, please contact Doug Mullinex.
  • A second “Senior Health Coffee Social” is scheduled for Wednesday, June 28th at 10am. Contact Catherine Heffley at [email protected] with questions.
  • The next Youth Group meeting is on Friday, July 14th, from 5 – 7pm in room 119 in the Parish Hall.
  • Join us at our first annual Celebration Dinner at GIA’s on July 16th at 1pm honoring select volunteers from our parish. Tickets are $35 each and go on sale next weekend.
  • The Knights of Columbus is teaming up with CHIU to put on a Talent Show and Dinner and your talent is needed! Saturday, August 19, 2023 is the date to reserve. If you are interested in sharing your talent alongside fellow parishioners, please contact Bob Maher at 434.589.1170 or [email protected]. The funds raised from this effort will help buy drugs and medications for the next medical mission to Uganda and pay for the doctors and nurses that will be helping during the mission at St. Anthony’s in Mitala Maria this January.

  • Barbeque and Brew at St. Joseph – join us this Saturday, June 17 from 11am – 4pm for an afternoon of fun, food, and drinks. We’ll be cooking out, enjoying music, games, face painting and more. Bring the family; make a donation to our World Youth Day pilgrim; meet our new seminarian. Kids – enter our cupcake contest!

Peace and blessings for a wonderful weekend!
