Here are the highlights:

  • The Remnant Generation in Kampala, Uganda, will have a guest speaker here at Sts. Peter and Paul this weekend, June 4th & 5th (in the Hall, after each Mass).
  • New USHERS are needed at both Masses. This is an excellent way to serve. Training is tomorrow, Saturday, June 4th at 10:00am for new and old ushers. Contact Frank Pilk if you are interested; his number is on page 2 of the bulletin. (p. 8)
  • Bake Sale this weekend, June 4th & 5th.
  • The Yard Sale is June 10-11, 2022. Set up will start on Sunday, June 5th and continue all week. If you have items you’d like to donate, please plan to drop them off Sunday (6/5) – Wednesday (6/8). See the bulletin for more information (p. 8)
  • On June 19th, we will celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi with a procession around the parking lot, involving music, adoration at Our Lady of Guadalupe, prayer and Benediction. Make this a joyful experience for all to see your belief in the “Real Presence”.
  • The Crafters are back, getting ready for another Craft Fair in November. They meet on Thursdays in Michael’s room from 9:30am – 2:30p. Anyone may join. (p. 9)
  • Parish Council Elections – will be held in June. If you are interested in helping our Parish grow and live its motto to Evangelize, Sanctify, and Serve, then contact one of the current council members. (p. 5)
  • Diocesan Youth opportunities – Discipleship week (for rising 10th – 12th graders) at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center and EPIC (for rising 6th – 8th graders) at St. Edward the Confessor in Richmond. Contact John Verga ([email protected]) if interested. (p. 4)
  • Youth Group will have their next event at St. Joseph’s on June 17th for GAME NIGHT. We will meet at 6:00pm in SPP parking lot to carpool to SJ and return by 9:30pm. (p. 4)
  • Gear up for the Parish PICNIC on Sunday, June 26th immediately following the 11am Mass. Load your lawn chairs and appetites and join in the fun and fellowship as we celebrate our Patron Saints. (p. 9)
  • The Good Shepherd’s ministry needs drivers. (p. 6)
  • “Exploring the Eucharist” Exhibit is now open. It will continue through November in the Invitation Room (formerly St. Raphael’s room). Please stop in and deepen your love for Jesus in the Eucharist.
  • Join us in the Parish Hall on June 24th from 7 – 8:30pm as we welcome guest speaker Carolyn Holcomb, to celebrate the Year of the Eucharist in an evening of fellowship and reflection. (p. 8)
  • The annual Golf Tournament is Sunday, September 11, 2022 with registration starting at noon and a 1pm Shotgun start. The price is $75. Contact Cynthia with any questions or if you’d like to volunteer. (p. 8)
  • If you are in either building after normal business hours, please, please, please, be sure to:
    • NOT prop doors open (we cannot afford to heat/cool the outside).
    • turn lights off (even if you didn’t turn them on)
    • turn off/unplug the portable heater (chapel users only)
    • turn around and make sure the outermost doors have completely closed behind you. (Yank on the door to make sure it doesn’t open.)

  • The next Knights of the Roundtable and Ladies Auxiliary meeting is on Thursday, June 2nd at 6pm at St. Joseph’s. (p. 11)
  • A Mass in Spanish will be celebrated on Pentecost Sunday, June 5th, at 2pm at St. Joseph’s. (p. 11)
  • Youth Group Game Night – Friday, June 17th from 6:30p – 9:00p, hosted by St. Joseph’s.
