Greetings!

Here are the highlights:

  • Happy St. Paddy’s day!
  • Even though St. Joseph has Mass at 11:00am this Sunday, Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul is still at 11:00am. Fr. Demetrio, who covered for Fr. David in December, will be here to celebrate Mass.
  • There is a Worship Committee meeting this Wednesday, March 20 at 7pm, that was inadvertently left off of the room schedule on page 7.
  • Sts. Peter and Paul is seeking a part-time Director of Music. See page 8 of today’s bulletin to find out more.
  • Those preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation will have a mandatory retreat this Saturday, March 16th, beginning at 10am in the Hall at Sts. Peter and Paul. Several activities are planned for the day, including Adoration and confessions and will conclude after the 5pm Mass. Please contact Chris Nealy at [email protected] with any questions.
  • 40 Days for Life vigils are on Wednesdays during Lent. The last vigil is next Wednesday, March 20. See pg. 9 for more info on how you can join in.
  • Lenten Lunches continue on Fridays during Lent after Stations of the Cross at NOON. Sandwich makers and soup makers are greatly needed for the final week. If you have never done this before, please reach out to Pat Amato (434.806.8967) with questions. Please sign up on the kitchen door in the Commons with what you are able to bring. Thank you!
  • Fish Fry-days are in full swing. Drive-thru and dine-in options are available again. Drive-thru is from 4:30-6:30p and is $13 (no drink or choice of dessert); dine-in is from 5:30p -7:00p and is $15 (with drink and dessert). Gluten Free is available upon request. Thank you for all of the delicious desserts. Please keep them coming for just one more week.
  • If you took a Lenten Coin Can to help the needy, it’s time to turn them in. Please return your cans this weekend or next. Thank you!
  • The K – 5 Youth Group meets tonight, March 15th at 6pm.
  • CHIU Golf Tournament at Spring Creek information can be found on page 9.
  • Save the Date: for our Parish Trip to kick off our yearlong celebration of our 40th anniversary
    • April 24 till May 4, 2025
    • Additional details can be found on the Parish Council board in the Commons
  • Sts. Peter and Paul Religious Store has new hours. It is open before/after Mass on Saturdays and after Mass on Sundays. There are great gifts for the upcoming Confirmation and 1st Communion season. You can contact the store via email at [email protected].
  • If you have misplaced any items in the church, come see Karen in the office; it’s where lost things go.
  • If you have recently changed your email address or phone number, please send a note to the office so we can update the system and make sure you don’t miss out on any information we have to share with you.

St. Joseph’s News:

  • Fridays during Lent, let’s gather for a potluck soup dinner at 5:30p, followed by parishioner led Stations of the Cross at 6:30p.
  • For the final event Bishop Knestout will celebrate Mass with us this Sunday, March 17th at 11:00am to bring our year-long celebration to a close. We will also have a potluck lunch and entertainment from in-house talent. My apologies for the typo in the bulletin of the Mass time this Sunday.

“Lord Jesus, you reveal to us the Father, giver of every good and perfect gift: open our minds and hearts to recognize and receive our dignity as sons and daughters of God.”

Blessings always!
