Here are the highlights:

  • With great sadness I announce the passing of June Wimer this past week. Please pray for the repose of her soul and keep her loved ones in your prayers. Her service will be planned after Fr. David returns.
  • K – 5 YOUTH GROUP RESCHEDULED! The grades K-5 youth group will have their first meeting of the new year on Friday, January 19th 26th at 6pm. They will participate in a snowman (marshmallows) workshop and sip on hot chocolate.
  • Fun Day with Family and Friends is this Sunday, January 21st at 12:30pm in the Hall. Tickets will be sold at the door. See pg. 5 for more information.
  • Sts. Peter and Paul is seeking a part-time Director of Music. See page 8 of today’s bulletin to find out more.
  • Sts. Peter and Paul Religious Store is open before or after Masses on the weekends. You can contact the store via email at [email protected].
  • The next Sr. Coffee Social is Wednesday, January 31st at 10am in the Commons.
  • Mark your calendars: MARDI GRAS is Saturday, February 10th after the 5:00p Mass. Tickets are $5 for child; $10 for adult; $25 for family. Funds raised will go to support our 2 youth groups.
  • Lenten Lunches start on Friday, Feb. 16 after Stations of the Cross at NOON. Sandwich makers and soup makers are greatly needed for this 6 week event. Please sign up on the kitchen door in the Commons with what you are able to bring. Thank you!
  • The Knights are gearing up for Fish Frydays also starting on Feb. 16. Drive-thru and dine-in options are available again. Drive-thru starts at 4:30-6:30p and is $13 (no drink or dessert); dine-in starts at 5:30p -7:00p and is $15 (with drink and dessert).
  • If you have recently changed your email address or phone number, please send a note to the office so we can update the system and make sure you don’t miss out on any information we have to share with you.

St. Joseph’s News:

  • The next anniversary event is this Sunday, January 21st, after Mass in the Parish Hall. Come hear a talk on the history and lives of the priests and religious orders who served St. Joseph so faithfully over the last 140 years. All are welcome.
  • Longwood College Choir will have a special performance on Sunday, February 25th at St. Joseph’s.
  • For the final event Bishop Knestout will celebrate Mass with us on Sunday, March 17th at 11:00am to bring our year-long celebration to a close. Invitations will be sent out; please RSVP by March 1st. We will also have a potluck lunch that day so please look for the sign-up sheet soon.
