Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord
Greetings!
Your bulletin: https://saintspeterpaulpalmyra.org/april-9th-2023/
Here are the highlights:
- The schedule of activities during Holy Week are included above. Father David will hear confessions for one hour this Friday AFTER Stations of the Cross at noon. The office is CLOSED on both Friday and Monday in observance of Easter.
- Youth Group: Sr. Madrine would like to inform all parents with children aged 12 years and older that we are going to resume the youth group activities. We will have a youth Mass which will take place on April 30th, which will be our kick-off project. We will meet from 2 – 4pm spanning several Saturdays (4/15, and 4/29). If your children are in this age group, please plan on bringing them to these sessions. Thank you.
- Lenten Coin Cans may still be turned in to the drop box in front of the baptismal font or at the office. As soon as we know how much was collected, we will let you know. In the meantime, please know that this will be of great help to pay for the maintenance and repair of equipment between the two buildings.
- International Night Dinner is right around the corner on Saturday, April 29th at 6pm, right after Saturday Mass. Be thinking about what international dish you’d like to share. A sign up sheet is available on the kitchen door in the Commons (to let us know what dish you are bringing) or use the QR code here. There will be a Silent Auction and various raffles, along with music. Don’t miss what is sure to be a fun evening.
- Altar Server training for new servers coming in April! If your child is interested in assisting at Mass in an important way and has received their First Communion, please contact Nicole Amato at [email protected]. Date/time to be announced soon.
- St. Vincent de Paul is coming to Sts. Peter and Paul. If you would like to be part of the Society please email [email protected].
- De Colores! – the next women’s Cursillo weekend, “Blessed, Broken, and Shared,” is May 18-21 in Massanetta Springs. Application deadline is April 26th.
- Sts. Peter and Paul now has a weekly YOGA class on Tuesdays from 11-12 in the Hall. Direct questions to Renata Miller at 757.536.8408 or email [email protected].
- Opera Night is coming! Friday, May 12th at 6:30pm at Sts. Peter and Paul – Tosca. A sign-up sheet is in the Commons on the board beside the Knights’ table.
- There is still time to return your Lenten Coin Can. The drop box is in the Parish Hall on the table outside of the kitchen.

We will have a youth Mass which will take place on April 30th, which will be our kick-off project. We will meet from 2 – 4pm spanning several Saturdays (4/15, and 4/29). “Loving Father, may the grace of the Resurrection restore our innocence, bring us joy, and urge us to run joyfully along the Way to the kingdom of heaven.”
Christ is risen, Alleluia!
