Here are the highlights:
- CCD & Adult Formation registration continues this weekend after Masses. The forms are also available on our website or in the office. Classes start Sunday, September 18th at 9:30am. (p.4 & 7) (This is one week later due to a conflict with the Golf Tournament awards dinner).
- As we gear up for the next year of Religious Education, we are looking for substitutes? Please contact Doug Mullinex if you are able to help guide our youth on their faith journey (434.981.6950). (p. 4)
- A BASKET RAFFLE to support the World Youth Day pilgrimage begins this weekend through September 18th. The winners will be announced at the Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, September 24th after the 5pm Mass. (p. 4)
- The next World Youth Day meeting is August 29th at 6:30pm to discuss the Spaghetti dinner. (p. 4)
- Rejoice! Bible Study returns on Monday, September 19th at 1pm in St. Elizabeth in the Parish Hall. (p. 7)
- The directories are here! If you didn’t have your picture taken but would like a copy of the newest directory, we have copies available for purchase for $10.
- OPEN POSITION – Sts. Peter and Paul is in need of a Coordinator of Religious Education & Youth Ministry. (p. 6)
- GAME DAY is coming Sunday, October, 2 from 12:30p – 4:30p in St. Francis. Tickets are on sale now through Sept. 25th and must be purchased in advance. Contact Diana at 434.589.5136. (p. 9)
- Broadway Show Night returns on Friday, September 23rd at 6:30pm. The feature is SHOW BOAT. Sign up on the board in the Commons. (p. 9)
- Bake Sale is next weekend! If you are a baker and would like to donate goodies to the event, you may drop them off before Mass. Thanks, in advance for your support!
- New USHERS are needed at both Masses. This is an excellent way to serve. Contact Frank Pilk if you are interested (571.239.3373).
- The Crafters are back, getting ready for another Craft Fair in November. They meet on Thursdays in Michael’s room from 9:30am – 2:30p. Anyone may join. (p. 9)
- “Exploring the Eucharist” Exhibit is now open. It will continue through November in the Invitation Room (formerly St. Raphael’s room). Please stop in and deepen your love for Jesus in the Eucharist. (p.8)
- Check out the latest news from the Nurse. (p.8)
- The Crafters are back, hard at work, creating great trinkets and treasures for the November Craft Fair. All are invited to join the crew and put your creativity to work. (p. 9) (The correct year is 2022 – too bad I didn’t catch that before it went to print.)
- The annual Golf Tournament is Sunday, September 11, 2022 starting at noon with a 1pm Shotgun start. Payment and registration form is due by Friday, August 26th. The price is $75. Contact Cynthia with any questions or if you’d like to volunteer. (p. 9)
- If you are in either building after normal business hours, please, please, please, be sure to:
- NOT prop doors open (we cannot afford to heat/cool the outside).
- turn lights/ceiling fans off (even if you didn’t turn them on)
- turn off/unplug the portable heater/fan (chapel users only)
- turn around and make sure the outermost doors have completely closed behind you. (Yank on the door to make sure it doesn’t open.)

- A Basket Raffle is going on now in the Parish Hall to help raise funds for the youth going on the World Youth Day pilgrimage next summer. Tickets are 3/$5 or 8/$10. (p. 10)
- CCD registration is going on now at St. Joseph’s. See Celeste for forms. (p. 10)
- There is a CCD teacher’s meeting on Sunday, August 28th after Mass. Anyone interested in helping with CCD is asked to attend. (p. 10)
- The next Mass in Spanish is Sunday, September 4th at 2pm.
