Revisit your commitment to Evangelism

“Shine like stars in the world, as you hold fast to the word of life” (Phil. 2ti15–16)

During the bicentennial year, Bishop Knestout is encouraging the faithful to revisit and renew their commitment to evangelization particularly through the Diocesan Pastoral Plan, Encounter the Joy of the Gospel and Se the World Ablaze (2014.)  With the bicentennial focus on the themes of communion and mission, evangelization teams are encouraged to renew their work within their local communities.

Resources have been and will periodically be made available through this website to assist individuals, along with parish and school communities, to spiritually prepare for the bicentennial commemoration.

The Diocese of Richmond has created a beautiful commemorative book, to be released in the winter of 2019, which highlights our two-hundred-year history with text, pictures, and profiles of our nearly 150 parishes. To order this special-edition book, contact your parish office and to learn more about planned 2020-2021 bicentennial events, visit.
